“LIFE, MEASURED IN DEPTH”
A CONVERSATION WITH LAUREN KOLODIN.
Some books are written. Others are poured out. Lauren Kolodin's how to live; written by a girl who's going to die is the second kind. She has already lost someone who cannot be replaced. And somewhere in the aftermath of that, she sat down, shampoo still in her hair, and started writing. What came out was a raw and honest book: part diary, part guide.
We spoke to Lauren about grief, about writing without permission, and about what it means to measure a life not in length or height — but in depth.

DEPLÜME is a passion project by two girls in their twenties who craved a creative outlet.
It is a platform that highlights young voices across fields and industries, showcasing the spectrum of talents, ambitions, and opportunities this demographic carries. A place to share their thoughts, concerns, and hopes for their generation. Especially in times of uncertainty, DEPLÜME seeks to build a community of like-minded people: curious, driven, and unafraid to question, create, and contribute.
Somewhere between writing and unraveling, DEPLÜME found its place. A space where culture, ideas, and conversations are opened up, questioned, and reassembled.
Part magazine, part notebook, part community, DEPLÜME exists as a digital third space: an edited chaos.
We are still figuring out what this will become, and maybe that is part of the point.
For now, we are here to explore culture, literature, design, and fashion — and the ideas shaping our generation. To spotlight young creatives. To build a community of people who care deeply, think critically, and want to create something meaningful in this world.
And so, here we are.
A little chaotic — but intentionally so.
“THE INSPIRATION ISSUE”
The Inspiration Issue is about people, artists, thinkers, movements, and creative spirits who dared to go against the current. People who followed an inner vision even when no one else understood it. People who were too strange, too early, too intense, too radical, too free... until one day, history finally caught up with them.
These are the stories we want to collect. The ones that make us braver. The ones that make us rethink what we were taught.
The ones that remind us that being misunderstood is not always a sign that you are wrong... sometimes, it means you are early.
